PDP LGA PRIMARIES:GOVERNOR DICKSON, PARTY RECONCILE ASPIRANTS.

In a move to strengthen the position of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) to win all Councillorship and Chairmanship seats in the State, the Chairman of the Bayelsa Chapter of the Party , Hon. Moses Cleopas has kickstarted the reconciliation process of aspirants to further foster unity amongst members of the Party.

The reconciliation meeting which was hosted by Governor Seriake Dickson in Government House recorded success, with the aspirants declaring that they will show more understanding, solidarity and a willingness to sacrifice for the general good of the party in the forthcoming elections in the State.


Addressing newsmen after a meeting with the governor , The PDP State Chapter Chairman, Hon. Moses Cleopas and other stakeholders , the aspirants , said the decision was based on the uncommon leadership style of Governor Seriake Dickson and Hon. Moses Cleopas led State Working Committee Of the Party.

According to the aspirants “Basically, all rancour within the PDP with the outcome of the Primaries in Bayelsa State have been resolved with this reconciliation meeting.” We have agreed to work together and ensure that the party, being supreme, will deliver all its candidates in tandem with our policy in the State.”

“We earlier felt shortchanged by the outcome of the chairmanship primaries. We felt that there were some grievances, but our governor decided that a reconciliation committee should be set up. From that decision, every issue has been sorted out.

“We are strongly behind Governor Seriake Dickson and  Hon. Moses Cleopas  led PDP State Working Committee not  just because of there  amiability, but also there power to bring people together”.

The various aspirants speaking differently, urged all their supporters to embrace peace and understand that the people they are following have understood the activities and accepted the olive branch extended to them by Governor Seriake Dickson and the Party.

“Come August 10th LGA elections, all our candidates will be delivered from the Councillorship to Chairmanship.

The aspirants further assured the Party , that will further strengthen their reconciliation process by going to their supporters to plead  with them and other members of the PDP in the State to show more understanding, solidarity and a willingness to sacrifice for the general good of the party.

They has also used the medium to call on all members and Bayelsans to stand by the decision of the delegates and the Party and work towards the total victory of the PDP in the forthcoming local government polls in the State.
